Psychological Thought started in 2006 in Bulgaria as a print journal. It advanced quickly to one of Bulgaria's most authoritative scientific psychological journals. "Psychological Thought" was published from 2006 to 2009 in print (with ISSN 1312-7969) by the University Publishing House "Neofit Rilski" in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.
Since 2012, the journal has been issued only online with a new ISSN 2193-7281.
From 2012 until 2019, the journal was published with the support of PsychOpen GOLD, Germany.
Since January 2020, Psychological Thought is operated and published by the University Publishing House "Neofit Rilski", Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.
Psychological Thought publishes its content in English or Bulgarian in all areas of psychology and is focused on psychological theory and practice. It welcomes original research articles, meta-analyses, clinical reports, case studies, students' essays, and book reviews. Psychological Thought is designed for psychologists, researchers, and psychology students.
Call for special issues with guest editors:
Dear Authors,
From 1st October 2024 until 15th February 2025, you are very welcome to submit your manuscripts on the range topic: The new generations: Challenges for School Psychology and Psychological Counseling. The guest editor is Assoc. Prof. Marius Drugas, ph.d.
The 18 volume, issue 1, will be released as usual in April 2025.
For volume 18, issue 2, the guest editor will be Emelina Zaimova-Tsaneva, ph.d. The issue topic is "Perspectives and ethical challenges in contemporary criminal and forensic psychology".
The manuscripts are expected between 1st May and 15th August 2025.
The 18 volume, issue 2, will be released in October 2025.
